Leopard
2 Hel ocular assembly - Visible
Optics
Under
a direct contract from RHEINMETALL
Defence Electronics, THEON Sensors.
manufactures the ocular assembly
of the Leopard 2 HEL Gunner's
periscope. The ocular assembly
relays to the gunner imagery from
the periscope's visible and thermal
channels and provides range from
the laser range finder and other
symbology. A built-in CCD camera
transfers the gunner's picture
to the tank commander.
